Applying

Can I apply before I finish my bachelor's degree?

Yes. You can apply in your final year, as long as you graduate before the programme starts in September. Upload a statement from your university saying when you expect to graduate.

Is there an application fee?

No. Applying to DCMAPS is free.

Can I apply for more than one Erasmus Mundus programme?

Yes, but you can only apply for an Erasmus Mundus scholarship in a limited number of programmes each year. Check the current rules on the European Commission's Erasmus+ website.

My degree is not in electrical engineering. Can I still apply?

If your degree is in a related field, such as mechatronics, physics or energy engineering, and you've taken courses in circuits, machines and control, you're welcome to apply.

Scholarships and fees

How do I apply for a scholarship?

Tick the scholarship box on the application form and apply before the scholarship deadline. There's no separate scholarship application.

When will I know if I have a scholarship?

Selection results, including scholarship decisions, are sent by email. See key dates.

What if I don't get a scholarship?

If you're ranked high enough, you'll be offered a self-funded place. See fees and scholarships for the participation costs.

Studying and mobility

Can I choose which universities I study at?

Students will be able to indicate their prefered tracks. However, the specific track to each student will be defined according to the availability of each university and preserving a balanced share among the tracks.

Do I need to learn Dutch, Spanish, Danish or Swedish?

No. All teaching is in English. Every university offers free or low-cost language courses if you'd like to learn the local language.

Will you help with visas and housing?

Yes. Each university's international office helps DCMAPS students with letters for visas, residence permits and recommendations to finding accommodation.
