Draft for review by the consortium's data protection officers. Last updated 24 October 2026.
Who we are
This website is run by the DCMAPS consortium: KU Leuven, Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, the Technical University of Denmark and KTH Royal Institute of Technology. The data controller is to be confirmed. You can reach us at the email address on the contact page.
What we collect
When you register your interest or apply, we collect:
- your name, email address and country of origin
- the documents you upload, if any
- whether you want to be considered for a scholarship
- the date and time you sent the form
We don't use advertising or tracking cookies. We measure visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which doesn't use cookies or identify you.
Why we use it
We use your details to assess your application, to contact you about it, and, if you registered your interest, to tell you when applications open. The legal basis is your consent and the steps needed before you enrol.
Who can see it
Only the programme office and the selection committee, made up of staff at the four partner universities. If you receive an Erasmus Mundus scholarship, we share the information the European Education and Culture Executive Agency requires. We never sell your data.
Where it's stored
Form submissions and documents are stored with Cloudflare, in data centres in the European Union.
How long we keep it
We delete applications from unsuccessful applicants and interest registrations 24 months after the end of the intake they were for. If you enrol, your data moves to the universities' student records under their own policies.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, or withdraw your consent, at any time. Email us and we'll respond within one month. You can also complain to the data protection authority in your country.
